i just noticed that some my quotes in the pictures are cut off. so sorry if you have any questions please pm me.
Thanks so much for posting this tutorial with pictures! This might be a dumb question but what kind of paper did you use?

I think it's just a little pieces of paper towel rolled up. That's what I use.
you are correct. its just pieces of kitchen paper rolled up. and dont worry no question is dumb.
Wonderful tutorial! WhenEVER I get brave enough to try fondant again, I definitely want to try this!
The only dumb questions are the ones that don't get asked! Thanks for the tutorial - clear instructions with pictures - that's exactly what I need! I'm definitely going to use this for my next cake since my last bow kind of flopped!
1/8" is a good thickness. This way the loops will be easier to form and your bow will be more sturdier.
You say you used fondant with tylose mixed in. Is there a problem with using Fondarific fondant, since I can't add the tylose to already-made fondant?
Of course you can add tylose to already made fondant. I do it all the time. If you dont want to its ok itll just take longer for your loops to dry. but i strongly recommend to add tylose to the fondant paste mixture of fondant and water that you will need to use to "glue" the loops together. This will make ur bow SO much sturdier and you wont be afraid of handling it. I made this red bow for a cousin of mine for her cake and she still has it from almost a year ago!!
I just bought my fondant for the first time and haven't opened any of the containers yet. Aren't the containers filled with the ready-made fondant? Do you just knead in the tylose powder to the ready-made fondant, or how do you add the two together?
Kaymc
yup you sure do! just knead it together and itll mix together wonderfully. just work quick because it will start to get stiff after a while.[/quote]
