Do I need to do anything special to prepare fondant before I place an edible image on it???? icon_surprised.gif

You hvae to rub a tiny amount of shortening or a light mist of water. Make sure you done damp the surface too much. If you do that, the image might fade. So best thing to use is shortening. icon_smile.gif

I think you just need to make sure the fondant is a little damp so the image will stick. Last time I did one, I got a paper towel damp and wiped the fondant surface with it. It worked well.
