So I'm slowly getting my name out there & making cakes, cookie bouquets, cupcakes. I have business cards, but I want to have my own logo. I saw this awesome picture online of this this cute little girl holding a cake. I'd my logo to be something cute & girlie like that. Does anyone know of where I can go to get my own logo?
Help me please!!! Pretty please!!!
call nearby colleges and even high schools -- ask for the graphic design teacher at the college and the art teacher at a high school.
there are many students who could do this for you as a class project -- which means you might even get it for free! (or a nominal fee or for cake!)
Check with your local college's graphic design program. I sent the department head an email and from there I was contacted by senior graphic design students to do my logo (we bartered; cookies for logo design).
what a great idea to go to the local college! i'll have to keep that in mind when i get my {fantasy} business going
My local web site company does all of my graphic design. Check their prices in your town.
Check out fiverr. Everything is $5. My cousin had a logo made & it looks awesome! Here's the person that did her's -http://www.fiverr.com/users/love2crochet/gigs/design-a-proffesional-vector-logo-for-you
HTH!
Fiverr is one option...but keep in mind that you get what you pay for, whether you're looking for a custom cake or custom graphic design work.
I liked TheLogoCompany.net. They will do your logo for $149.00 and keep at it until you like it or you tell them you want your money back. They get a little "hard sell" at the end trying to convince you to get stationary or a website, but if you tell them no, they will go away.
They deliver the logo at the end in 5 or six formats, but it isn't very manipulable, unles you know what you are doing. I suppose if you have a local person, and want to continue to pay, they will be more accessible for future stuff, but if you just want a logo, and won't be needing to do more than make it larger or smaller, this is a good deal.
BTW, I'm not using my logo online just now, only in print, so if you go to my website (also still really under construction) you won't find the logo.
velinda84, there's a place called mygrafico(.com) where you can buy all kinds of cute illustrations for $5 or $6. I use them for invitations, cute business cards, cakes and stuff like that. I'm a graphic designer too. They have good stuff there. Just read about the credits/rights before you purchase for use. At the very least, you can use it for inspiration. Sometimes the very same illustrators who did the artwork might put the text around and give you template PDFs for everything.
Check out etsy.com - they have a lot of digital files that you can buy, completely reasonable. Search 'logos' first, if you don't see what you like then search 'digital, cake' and see what comes up.
You can contact the seller if you need help personalizing it more - they will usually do a custom order for an additional fee!
I ran across a guy that does custom Logo, he will work with you until it is exactly want you want and he charges a very inexpensive price. PM me and I will give you his email.

Very talented lady, check her blog too she does post crafts and recipes too.
I dont know if you got your logo yet, but the woman who designed mine is great but not in the states. If you can ask her if she takes paypal or something, she is totally worth it. She studied design and everything and only charged me 125 dollars for my logo. What she does is asks you to send her a photo she can "take inspiration from", plus color themes and any other info you think she should do. She makes 3 designs for you, and you pick the one you want, telling her any alterations you would like her to make. She has also made me business card designs for $12, a banner for outside my friends shop where my items are being displayed including an A3 sign for $100, and Im now having her design a brouchure for me along with receipts for also around $100 together.
I'll try to attach my logo, I had sent her for "inspiration" a photo of a cake ball with a flower on it ( I sell cake balls/pops, custom designs) and I love what she did for me.
I have also been in search of a logo and I went to Etsy.com and they have tons of logos for sale that range from $15-300, they have a lot for cake bakers and many of them are one of a kind so if you buy it they won't resell it. I am going to purchase one from them for mine.
Good luck!
my logo..
The attachment to post feature software isn't working.
You can add a link to your logo.
