I am teaching myself how to decorate cakes, or atleast trying. I came across this site about 2 weeks ago.... WOW I am so glad I did. I live in SW Kentucky. How do I find classes in my area?
Your local Michaels store has the Wilton classes...or if you go to the Wilton web page you can search for their classes in your area.
HTH!

Unfortunately there are no Michael's in my area. Thank you for the reply though. I appreciate it. I believe there are Michaels in Nashville about 1 1/2 hours from my home.

I know that some of the other craft stores offer them to like said the best way would be to look at the Wilton website put in your area and it will tell you where!
If you are unable to take classes due to distance then I highly suggest you check Youtube and keep reading and asking questions here in Cake Central. If you read a lot, you will find tons of visual tutorials in here.
I've only been decorating for 4 months and didn't take any classes. I learned from reading and watching.
Good luck.
Hi.. I know you are not very far from Clarksville, TN, and there are two places that teach the wilton classes; Hobby Lobby, and Pedigo's Hardware (yeah, really~!) hth
