I met with a potential bride for a Sept wedding. She wants to have "multiple smaller cakes in fall flavors". All I can think of is pumpkin spice cake (never made one and have NO recipe either). Does anyone have any good fall flavor ideas AND the recipes to go with?? My most popular is WASC and Choc WASC, both of which don't scream fall. Thanks for your ideas!

Chocolate is good year-round, so you can stick with that. Also, don't forget spice cake! I LOVE it! I had a May wedding and still had spice cake! And, don't forget Red Velvet!
Spice, pumpkin, apple, apple caramel, carrot. Just ideas - mix with flavored frostings and fillings. If you could do a candy apple with a cinnamon gel filling, caramel apple, pumpkin pie cake with a whipped cream filling with toasted coconut.
Now that I think of it, I may develop a candy apple cake myself. That sounds good.
Try the "decadent autumn chocolate spice cake" in the recipe section with cream cheese frosting. I used this recipe year before last for a fall event and it was a huge hit. Very good.
Now y'all are making me HUNGRY!!

I have a pumpkin cake that has dried cranberries, nuts and white chocolate chips that is super easy and is moist and wonderful....I make it tons of times in the fall season. E-mail me at [email protected] if you want the recipe.

Fillings could be caramel, maple buttercream, jams, cream cheese icing, etc.
