I've lost the heating rod for my wilton wonder mold pan. Do you know if I can get that part to buy? Or what can I use instead?

I would email www.wilton.com and ask them or I have heard some say that they have rolled foil into a long stick and used that. It didn't work for me though. Good luck.

A long time ago, Wilton sent me one for free....

I bought a WonderMold at the thrift shop that didn't have a heating rod. I emailed Wilton and they sent me one for free. I offered to buy it, but they gave it to me. Props to Wilton!!

I just bought a new wondermold - but true to my "tool time" instincts, thought the core was too small. I also have to put Barbie legs in, and didn't want to core it out too much.

Buy a threaded bolt about 2" long. Make sure it it thin enough to fit through the hole in the base and mold pan. Buy several nuts to stack on top. They don't need to thread, just stack. Only the last one should thread to hold the others. This bolt and nuts is creating a "stump" for the final piece. Lowes sells 12' pre-cut lengths of copper pipe. I think mine it is 1/2" inside (not sure, I'm at work). It should drop down over the stack of nuts; it should pretty steady if the stack is tall enough.

The cake baked beautifully. But, I haven't built the cake though to see how the barbie legs fit inside.

I'll need advice on building a doll cake next - but will search the forums first. I'm sure I'm not the first needing help.

p.s. The bolt and all the nuts were stainless steel. Everything cleaned up nice before baking.

I can take a pic tonight and post if the notes aren't clear - I think clearly...writing it down, not so much.

Sorry for the delay...but I now have a spanky new computer! Down for a while but here are photos showing the stem assembly that I rigged for the Wilton Wonder Mold pan.
