Hello
I'm wondering if anyone has some tips on covering a sports ball pan with fondant. I am working on making a soccer ball and could use a few tips. I've tried searching the topic but I am comming up empty.
Thanks

I don't know...it looks to me like they cut the fondant in the tutorial and you don't always have to do that to cover a ball, at least not that many cuts.

Just have your fondant semi thick and keep working out the pleats going around and around till it gets to the bottom. You can kind of tuck the big pleats in to encourage them to stretch back. (this is where thicker fondant comes in handy) You also have to take your time to let the fondant do it's stretching. Then if it's still pleating a lot, try to arrange the fondant so it's one big pleat that you can cut...then there would only be one cut to hide.
