We are trying to start up a cake club in Alamance County. If you are interested and in the area, please let me know! Our first official meeting is tonight so I will have more information. A couple of things we're looking at doing: sharing ideas and techniques, donate practice cakes to homeless shelters, possible day trip to Grove Park Inn to see Gingerbread competition houses........ The possibilities are endless! It started up as an idea during one of the Wilton classes at Michaels and is growing from there. Please contact me if you are interested.......newbies are welcome and invited!

Hi, Jennifer! My name is Penny Cunningham and I'm a member of NC ICES. If you're not already an ICES member and know about us, we're a cake decorating group that has chapters world-wide and we have members of all skill levels and we always welcome new decorating friends! Our next Day of Sharing (that's what we call our meetings) is Sunday, Aug. 3 from 2-5pm at Temple Beth El in Charlotte, NC which isn't too far from Alamance County. I'd like to invite you all to come for a visit - your first meeting is free! All of the information is on our website at http://www.angelfire.com/nc3/ncices/.
We are also having a cake show in Charlotte on Sept. 20, 2008 and a cake decorating class on Sunday, Sept. 21 too! All that information is on website as well.
I hope I get to see you at the meeting soon! Let me know if you've got any questions!
