I like to put all my cake stuff in front of my air conditioner turned up full blast to cool things, i did that last night for some fondant flowers i was making and they were mostly dry this morning not sure if it causes problems but they were just for my class cake that was just going to be fed to my coworkers so i wasn't to concerned about them...
I put mine in front of a fan. There were some posts on this last night from a poor CCer who possibly broke her ankle. There were a few tips there. I've also heard (previous post) turning the light on in your oven and putting them in the oven. The heat from the light helps speed up the drying. Just avoid the unfortunate mistake of some CCers and don't let the oven get turned on while your things are in there!!! Post a note on your oven dial!
Yes. Thanks CharmingConfections. Forgot that. I always include gumtex or gumpaste in anything I want to dry rock hard. If you need it to dry really fast you can use just the gumpaste.
I am fortunate to have a warming drawer in my stove. Some folks use food dehydrators for drying stuff. I just add cornstarch to get fondant to dry crisper.

I have had the oven turned on. Woo boy! Fondant does not smell nice as it is dripping and burning to the bottom of your oven. Not a fun mess to clean.
Tylose does basicly same thing as CMC, Gum Trag and Gum Tex(Wilton's version). They make fondant more like gumpaste, it will dry harder/faster than just fondant alone.
