What is the best way to attach BC roses to the side of a cake, so they don't fall off?

Thanks!

I would let them dry first of course. You could stick toothpicks in and then attach the rose to that. You could use Candy Melts and just hold until it dries or maybe even Royal Icing (I think that would work) I know others have done it so hopefully someone else can give more suggetions!

Good luck!

I've never used toothpicks.

let them air dry. This removes the moisture and makes the roses very lightweight, a plus that works AGAINST gravity.

Are you doing a cascade? If so, start at the bottom. Then as you add roses above them, the upper roses "rest" on the lower roses; the lower roses support the upper roses.

But I pretty much just put a blop of BC icing on the back of them and stick 'em on their. With the added BC leaves, they stay on just fine.

Here's one that I did last year: http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=750403 Notice on the 2nd and bottom tier, that the roses are just "hanging" on the side ... they are not really being supported by lower roses. And they stayed on just fine.
