I have to make a 3 tiered wedding cake, the bottom tier being a dummy. The cake is going to be iced in buttercream. What is the best way to ice the dummy so that it can be reused? Saran wrap?

Just -put the BC directly on the styrofoam. When you want to take it off, run a knife under the layer of icing and it will pop right off.

I never wrap or treat my styrofoams.

I just wanted to make sure a person can ice a styrofoam dummy with buttercream icing and it will hold. This is my first experience with a dummy cake but I can see where it could be lots of fun to use in the future if I can in fact use buttercream!
