Is this a hi-ratio shortening. The supplier I have been buying Sweetex from no longer carries it, but does carry Quick Blend.

Anyone know of this product?

Wesson Quick Blend is listed as a cake/icing shortening (available in a 50# container) along with other commercial fats on this website:

So I'd say that it's just a less well-known brand of hi-ratio.

I just bought some from a local supplier who sells to the general public. I love it! It's great - I make sugarshack's buttercream recipe and it makes it so much more creamy. You'll like it too!

Thanks! I will get it then. I use SS's recipe too. I am so bummed because they stopped carrying Sweetex.
