is it going to stay in the pan? and the lil crumbs gonna be stuffing?? i think it looks good but kinda gross lol.. i just did my first turkey with my boyfriend this easter, and it was very stomach turning for me... i didnt like touching it or looking at it lol...
and needless to say.. that looks real!
My goodness, that looks good enough to eat, and anybody who tastes it will probably expect turkey flavor, it looks so real. Janice

In the US we have a holiday called thanksgiving (i'll feel if you already know about this) and turkey is a must (mostly) for thanksgiving dinner so i would do a turkey cake because its cute, everyone will think thats the dinner instead of the dessert.
Trent i would have loved to see a pic before any frosting. How do you go about frosting? do you frost the body 1st then attach the legs & wings and then frost them? Did you do the mix of dark corn syrup and water for the color? I'm wondering how thats gonna taste, i was just thinking of using brown frosting, wouldnt that work too? sorry for so many questions but these things got me puzzled a bit.
actually the syrup is quit good..syrup also seal in flavor and thats what i mainly used for the dressing.... . For me i actually did both crumbcoat then went back and attached the wing and leg with the cone....before I could not see it..but when u frost the cake, it really does all come 2gether...its alot easier that what u might think..
thank you trent, did you use a filling in your cake? i would definitely want to. Also did you just attach the legs & wings with frosting or did you use a dowel or something else? I want to use whipped cream buttercream frosting and i'm not sure that will hold up the limbs. Oh and did you just spray your syrup water combo with a spray bottle?
