Looking For A Good Filling For Butter Pecan Cake?

Hi all,
I'm looking for a good filling and or icing to go with a Butter Pecan cake. Anyone have any suggestions?
Are there nuts int he cake or just butter pecan flavoring? If you can get a filling like pecan pie type, that would be cool. I would think a pecan pie filling recipe would work good.
If not, maybe you can try praline, caramel, kahlua, rum or buttercream?
The cake is just flavored, no nuts in it. Actually the praline sounds great. I think I will try that. Thanks!

The butter pecan cake sounds great. Can you email me the recipe?

Also is there a praline extract if so where do I find it?
Thanks
There are some pecan extracts, but I know Praline Liquer is sold in stores and that could add some praline flavoring. I think it would be easier just to make your praline base or syrup. Then just mix with icing/buttercream.
Why not use a can of the DH German Chocolate icing. It has coconut, pecans and caramel type icing in it. Tastes great. Would be pretty cheap. If you want to make it homemade - I'm sure you can find a recipe for it. Try www.recipezaar.com.
Thanks for the tip
Just checked out www.wrenscottage.com. The recipes for cakes, fillings and icings sound sooo good. I'm going to try the Praline pecan filling in my next cake.
