Question About Cake Mix.....

can I use a stick of butter on a cake mix that calls for oil?? I know sounds dumb and the answer is probably a given....but I had to ask anyway. I tried the butter recipe mix this past weekend, but now cant find it anymore!

I use butter sometimes to replace the oil, I just melt it first and mix well. yummy!!!!!! just did one today mmmmmmmm

thanks pootchie! you just use the same amount of melted butter called for oil?

I use butter instead of oil all the time. I don't even melt it. I just throw it in th e mixer with everythign else. Comes out great every time!
