HI there,
Yes, Nati's muds would be perfect for your sculpted cake. I use them for any shape I do! They are dense and delicious!
hope that helps

What makes a cake a mud cake??? I keep reading about it. Where is this 'Nati' recipe? I didn't see it in the recipe section.
Thanks!

Thanks! Now if I could only figure out the difference between 'regular' chocolate cake, Devil's food cake, and mud cake... Anyone know?

well, I can try. I bake muds all the time and they use chocolate as well as cocoa in them and are very moist, as in "mud like" inside.. yum!
Normal chocolate cake is like a flavoured sponge cake and is fluffier and lighter than muds.
Devils food cake is more like a sponge, only quite rich and torted several times with cream in between layers.
I hope this helps!
I am a mud cake girl all the way!

Thanks Keira. I haven't made a mud cake before that I was aware of, but based on that description, I think I have! I have been using a Mrs. Field's Devil's Food cake recipe that uses both chocolate and cocoa powder and it is quite tasty and moist. I wonder if that would be considered a mud cake too then? I will have to try the recipe on this site the next time and compare.
