My customer asked for a bridal shower cake with the Chinese symbol for love on it. She gave me a rubber stamping of the symbol. She marked the top for me. I told her it looked better upside down. Then at the shower, the mother of the bride, who is Chinese, told her that the symbol was upside down. Like I said, it wasn't my fault. Ironically, I was showing pictures of my cakes to my brother-in-law (who is half Japanese). He looked at the symbol and said jokingly, "What does this say? Blah Blah Blah?" |

Too funny. No, it was not your fault. You can only do what you are asked to do. The cake is very pretty upside down or right side up.
