Hi....I made a batch of chocolate rolled cookies and no fail sugar cookies and decorated them for a party that was meant to be today (baked on Tueday or Wed I think)...well turns out it had to be moved till next Wed...does anyone know if they can be frozen (decorated with Antonia74's royal icing for decorating) Thanks! icon_smile.gif

Sure they can be frozen just fine. Thaw them in a single layer so if you get condensation, you can leave them untouched until they are dry.

How long can you freeze them without effecting the taste/ consistency?

Thanks!

Try freezing them in Press n Seal. That way you can get out the air around each individual cookie and cut down on the effect the freezer has on them.

i have actually been running a test *crazy me* i had allot of practice cookies left over from a project. i wrapped then two at a time, back to back in plastic wrap then placed them in an air tight container. i have been taking one pack of two out of the container Evey week now. I'm up to 6 weeks and they still look and taste great.

Lacie,

Glad to hear about your test run. I did a similar test run and gave up after two weeks. But glad to hear I could go longer. I'm going to start my graduation cookies this weekend - it's two weeks away. Never can start too early.
