I would like to share a "cookie" disaster. I was feeling confident (for some reason) and wanted to try homemade cookies. I called my sister and asked for an easy cookie recipe. She told me four ingredients and how to prepare them. Only instead of 2 sticks of butter, I heard 2 pounds of butter. now, by no means am I a baker and assumed what she had said was correct. I diligently melted four sticks of butter and mixed it with the sugar, flour and (I forgot the other ingredient). I thought it looked soupy, so I continued to add flour. Well, I put put them in the oven and they came out sooo pretty. , but they tasted like pure Gold Medal Flour ! My next batch, I decided to add sugar, lots of sugar . I put the batch in the oven, turned on the oven light to watch and oh, they rose so pretty. Then like someone was firing missiles, they evaporated back into the shape of the pan. . They looked like cup cake cups. I was so disappointed.
Moral of my story..............I can't think of one... just felt the need to share.

And I thought I was the only one!!!!!!!
When my daughter was a baby (30 years now) I wanted to be a good mother and bake cookies for her. Made sugar cookies. They were so hard that we had to let them get stale before she could eat them!!!!! They were great for teething though.
I am a "little" bit better now!!
