Does anyone have any ideas how to create the writing on these personalized cookies? I'm thinking they used the edible paper and printed them up like labels. But I know that the paper is white so it would show up against the coloured icing.

Maybe a stencil and a food marker, or she has the best handwritting

I would think for the big letters you can use stencil..

I THINK (not certain) that you can print on clear acetate (reversed of course) with your edible ink printer.... then just transfer the writing to the cookies like those temporary tattoos... maybe?

Gorgeous! But it looks like a royal pain...

I must be missing something. The writing looks like it was produced by a cheap inkjet. IMO, these monograms do not match the elegance of the cookies. The cookies are lovely.

I have used edible markers or thick royal icing to write on cookies. That kinda looks like it was painted on or maybe an edible maker.

I use a sweet art edible printer on my cookies. It prints directly on the cake or cookie. If you look at my photos you can see the logos i did for my partners business. I agree that hers look a little strange having harsh black on a pretty pastel colour (not a spelling mistake - i'm in th uk!! )

I agree with bubblezmom about the writing on the cookies. The cookies are beautiful, and then there's this black writing on them. Although it looks very professional, it sort of takes the "handcrafted" look away from them and makes them look more "mass produced". Maybe if the print wasn't in black and more of a color that went with the cookies? They are wonderful though....just picking them apart!!!

couldn't she have just used a ruuber stand...paint them in the color of your choice then stamp the cookie...

I have a Sweet Art printer. I can't recommend it enough for the quality of the printing. Have a look at www.sweetart.com. It has an arm that moves accross the cookie or cake ans sprays the edible ink directly on top. I have had a little trouble with placing the cookie in the right position, but thats b/c im not just using their software. I mainly use it for logos, but am trying to get the detail on the flooded cookie as a guide to ice over.

I've seen those on the beau-coup website. Their site says that "Our sophisticated printing technology allows us to customize each cookie with the names of the couple and the date of the wedding in a delicate script font. Or personlize with a monogram"
