Looking For Chocolate Whiskey Cake Recipe

Hello all! I am trying to recreate a chocolate whiskey cake I had at a restaurant. The decription is "chocolate cake brushed with whiskey..." etc. Do you think its really as simple as that?
All of the recipes I've found have nuts, cherries, raisins, etc.. but this cake didn't have any of those in it. Just a very moist, rich chocolate cake.
Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!!
I have a chocolate cake recipe that calls for bourbon, and the bourbon taste really shines through...but in your case, I would first just make a rich chocolate cake and brush it with whiskey like the description said.
Was it a Bundt cake or a regular cake?
I made an amazing Dark Chocolate Whiskey Cake for the birthday cake pictured below. I made a Dark Chocolate cake, and when it was cooled, I used 2/3 simple syrup mixed with 1/3 whiskey and soaked the cake using a clean spray bottle. SO much easier than brushing it on unevenly!!
I mixed about 2 tablespoons of whiskey into the chocolate buttercream filling too. WOW was it ever deeeee-licious!!

Ooh that sounds just like what I'm looking for. Would you mind sharing the recipe for the dark chocolate cake? (I'm new to cakes and don't have many recipes). Thank you!
