Does anyone know the recipe for simple syrup? I think it's 4 parts water to 4 parts sugar, but I really can't remember.

Thanks!

I have always made equal parts sugar and water. However much you think you will need. If you want it a little thicker you can use less water.

It's just equal parts sugar and water. Boil until the sugar is dissolved.

This is another simple syrup recipe that I use.
1 cup apricot preserves
1 cup water
Boil apricots and strain. Add water and boil.

I have also added vanilla and sugar and it makes a very nice glaze. It is great for cakes that you are planning to freeze. icon_smile.gif
