I read a recipe to use boiled sugar to hold a gingerbread house together because it sets faster. I don't understand "HOW" you use it? Brush it on like glue? I read something about pouring out strips and using the strips. I'm lost. Can anybody elaborate on that?

We were just discussing gingerbread houses in another thread and this link came up. It has a recipe and instructions.

You could do that. But just cook the sugar without the acid.
