I'm rather new to fondant. So far, i'm having decent luck with it. Now, I've been asked to make a yoda & shrek cake for someone, and i was wondering how I would apply fondant on the rice treats i make the figures out of. I made a figure from the rice treats before, but my problem with that was there was a lot of bumps and creases. I'm not sure how to apply the fondant smoothly. Just looking for some advise on this. thank you.

Use modeling chocolate to cover it first.

There was another thread about this. I'm going to try to find it.

My goodness Deb527. I said I was going to find another link and I probably got distracted with work.

Here's the other idea, just in case you want to try that too before the modeling chocolate.

Sorry it took so long!
