I just read on Yahoo that the cake was a gift from the bakery, but they got the publicity for it. The article also said they earned(?!) so many profit from the wedding that not even they got all the money that they spent but they also made more money by selling their pictures, and advertisement on E! and etc.

Strange world....

If you look at my original post, there's a picture of it in that article.

The tiny little thing on a cake plate? I heard the cake was 5 feet tall?

bobwonderbuns--are you sure that's the actual cake? That does not look like a 6-foot tall cake. And if it is the cake, that photo does not do it justice!

That's the only picture I've seen and they are claiming it's "THE" cake. Personally it's the smallest six foot cake I've ever seen! icon_rolleyes.gificon_biggrin.gif

Still not the greatest pic (would love to see close up and details) but, I guess that isn't a cake plate, it's a table!! LMFAO

I have to say, I wish the whole Kardashian clan would take a long walk off a short pier. I am so absolutely sick to DEATH of all of the reality show garbage. I refuse to watch any of it, and this is a perfect example of the ridiculous amounts of money they use to wipe their asses while honest hard working people are struggling to make ends meet. Wow, ok, I am sorry for sounding so b*tchy, and hope none of you are offended by my obviously crappy attitude at this exact moment, you know thats not my intent. I just can't understand what is wrong with the public in general that we make these people SO rich and they don't DO anything. We watch them floss their teeth and they get $42k. It just makes me so sad. We continue to struggle through life while they sleep in a 15 mil mansion on their 20k sheets. And they didn't 'earn' any of it. Hose bags.

I'm with you, Melvira. And the networks love this stuff because it costs next to nothing to produce - they don't have to pay any actual writers, directors, actors or anybody else with any real creativity or talent! OK, I've said my piece. Back to making cakes!

Melvira - I tend to agree with you. What exactly DOES Kim K do??? All I know is that she's Bruce Jenner's step-daughter and her father is an attorney who was on OJ Simpson's legal team. I guess she's famous for having rich parents??

Anyway...I try to look at it this way: If she's willing (and able) to pay someone $20,000 for a cake, that's $20,000 out of her pocket and into the pocket of someone who DOES work hard! Kind of disgusting that people like her have that kind of money for doing nothing, but I'd gladly take it from them! icon_lol.gifthumbs_up.gif

If she is willing to pay that much for a cake I will certainly accept her order and not a for penny less. Oh and a tape comes to mind regarding her.

Have to give you high-five on this girl!!! nope, those 'princesses' don't do nothing, their contribution to society is just showing how hard it is to be wealthy, cute and dumb! It really is ridiculous!----don't you wonder what that garbage is doing to our youth???

Ok, thanks you guys for knowing I'm not attacking any of you! Just so sick of it. I mean, Paris Hilton... famous for partying. Gets paid to show up at parties. People actually BOOK her to pay 50K for her to show up at their shindig. I am obviously in the wrong line of work. All I need is a good PR person and I would be rolling in it. Wait... I have to work on my snobby "I'm better than you" attitude". Try this... "Ok, you guys like, suck, and stuff. And like, I'm super hot, but you're not. Unless you wanna like, give me money and junk. Then I'll totally be your BFF for like, a week." How's that? Am I doing ok? icon_lol.gificon_rolleyes.gif

The whole Kardashian clan got ZERO talent.. But some people follow them and adore them..People who don't know any better. It is sad that the Kardashians got rich by doing nothing, but had a rich father to start with. But I also support the idea that the rich should be allowed to spend their money in any way they want as long as this money is not from the tax payers and wasted by some politician who spends tax payers money like there is no tomorrow. Now that is the one I consider irrational and indecent. Kim Kardashian is not a drug dealer or someone who stole people's money, so let her spend her $$$ the way she wants it.. Anyway this marriage will be over sooner than we might all expect. Cake is ugly BTW.. but it's her money.

I don't think they paid for that cake at all. I heard on the news, (yes the NEWS and the news anchor actually said "Breaking News" sarcastically, lol) that most of the wedding was paid for by sponsors and donations. WHY?? Why would anyone at all GIVE them what they can afford to pay?? I really never understood that line of thinking.

I read the icing was "chocolate chip". How does one ice a cake with chocolate chip icing? I guess you would need an inch of fondant to cover up the lumps????
