I'm sure I'm in the wrong spot for this question, but could someone tell me how long piping gel lastes once the container has been opened? I've got one that's been opened and the container doesn't list any time frame. I've got a cake to do this weekend and I'm hoping I don't have to run out and get more. Thanks for any help

How long have you had it opened? I've used open containers for six months and longer with out any problems.

It's been open since this summer, so I guess I can still use it. I just wanted to make sure it was ok...didn't want anyone to get sick. Do you keep it in the frig or room temp?

I keep mine at room temp. Haven't had any problems with it.

I was told it's like honey. It may crystalize but won't really go bad unless it gets contaminated with other stuff.
