Hi ~ I ''thought'' I recently read (here) about royal icing that is
flexable. I can't find that thread or recipe. Please help me.
Thanks ~ Joyce
TracyLH ~ YES!!! Thank you so much for finding & sharing with me.
I'm sorry you weren't thanked when you posted but I was never notified!!!
That's odd because I have it set to notify me of any replies. Oh well,
Thank you very much again!!!!
I still don't understand why I wasn't notified. Every other post I've done or replied to I've
been sent notice. STRANGE!!!!!!!!! I don't know when I'll try it now as I'm just finishing
up my last cake of the season. I don't do cakes in the summer, too hot/humid and no
central AC!!! Thanks again!
I am moving to WA State. Lots of rain and no a.c. I am predicting not a lot of meringues will be made. I do decorated cookies, so that should be interesting.
Where are you moving from? You're right, WA is not the climate for meringues and I LOVE
merginues!!! Maybe someday you will upload some of your cookies for us to admire???
I don't make cookies, just eat them!!
LOL
I am moving from VA. I will just keep my fingers crossed for clear, non-humid days. It is more the RI drying properly on the cookies that I am concerned about. I used to have all of my photos on here, but just do not any longer. Hope that flexible RI works out for you!

Western or Eastern side of the state? Unless you're right on the coast or Puget Sound then it's really not as humid as everyone thinks. The Eastern side is actually perfect for royal and meringues! Very dry and arid, especially the SE part, it's almost a desert! I <3 Washington
Hi Jeep Girl - I will be closer to the east side, not far from Dabob Bay, if I have that correct with Dyes Inlet in the other direction. No lack of water. It should be interesting!
Thanks, Cakes47!
Oops! I was far too, too tired last night. That would be the 'west side'. Good grief! I will be a ferry ride to Seattle.

LOL, that's what I figured you meant! Take a few days to explore Seattle, it's such a fun city
Oh, I love Seattle and can't wait to get their again as I was there in April. It will be great to explore it further. Nice chatting with you!
Has anyone tried this yet? I tried the recipe as is and it was like water, couldn't get a solid line, so i mixed another batch that I thought was the right consistency and the next day it was not flexible it was brittle and snapped iton pieces. Hopefully you have better luck.
Yes, I've tried it and love it! I've not tried it on cookies but I do use royal icing like you would color flow. It's not as brittle as regular royal icing. Don't know who figured this out but my hat's off to them!!
