Have any of you used the Fat Daddio cake leveler?

I really, really, really, REALLY want to spring for an Agby, but was wondering if this one is any good. I might just wait a couple months and get the Agbay since I've been going just fine (frustrated, but fine!) for now, but I was curious!

Thanks!

Wait for the agbay.

I'm totally unimpressed with FD pans. Maybe their leveler will be okay, but I wouldn't chance it.

I just got a FD leveler for my birthday (today) and I'm about to try it out. I'll let you know what I think.

I used my new FD with two of the blades to level and tort two 8" rounds, and a two 5" rounds, and the torts came out just perfect.

The only negative for me, was that the blades don't lock in place. Instead, you kind of slide them to where you want them and tighten the wing nut, but it only tightens so much because there is a spring on the other side, so it seems like it might be possible to accidentally move the blade a little if you push up or down on it too hard, but I really didn't run into any problems at all, even doing a double cut through my very dense cakes. They came out just perfect.

So far, I am really pleased with it, and can't wait to test it out on a bigger cake!
