I am doing a Christmas style basket of flowers in a few weeks and the customer has asked me to also include fir tree branches with the pointy quills...How do I achieve this?? Do I make the branches first and then attach the pointy things? How do I do this?

Any advice is welcomed!! Thumbs Up!
any tutorials on youtube?

Maybe make the branch out of brown GP and little green royal "needles". Kinda reminds me of the technique Colette Peters used for a cactus cake.

it would be sooooooooooooo fragile though, I don't see how you could possibly arrange it and have it NOT break. I've looked online and I don't see anywhere that sells them, so i'm guessing it's just not something that will work well. She's totally against using fake or even real pine branches?

No...I think I will end up either piping a branch or using fake pieces..I don't see how I can do it either....She will be fine with it!
