Duncan Hines sells a boxed carrot cake - I don't see why you couldn't try making WASC with that. If not, try making it with the white cake mix, use whole eggs, add grated carrots, some cinnamon and oil along with the other ingredients (vanilla, sourcream, flour and sugar).

I think the mix has everything in it but double check on the carrots.
I haven't tried the WASC with this, but I have with the Red Velvet box mix and it turned out great. Good luck.

I like to make it using the boxed spice cake but I add carrots, raisins, pineapple and nuts, and do the rest according the WASC recipe but cut back on the water/milk a bit to make up for the liquidy pineaplle.

The reason I don't use the carrot cake mix is because I'd rather add my own carrots as compared to the bits they add.

for carrot flavor i use jarred baby food and i'm sure it would be better with fresh pureed carrots.
that way you could have a light white cake with a carrot taste.
