I get a lot of questions on the royal icing transfers I put on my cakes. I took a lot of pics a while back when doing some, and I finally got around to putting them together. I hope I have explained everything, but I probably didn't icon_biggrin.gif so feel free to ask me anything! I just love this site and have learned so so so much from it. If I can give anything back by I'm only greatful. I hope this helps someone icon_biggrin.gif

I've done these before too & love them. I've posted another topic asking about how long they can sit on a crusting buttercream. No one has even looked at the topic so I will ask here, hoping for an answer. The cake is for Sat, but being picked up Thurs. I want to make sure it will not dissolve from the grease of the buttercream.

When I've used RITs before they've been consumed the next day. I would appreciate any input

Hmm, the pictorial was removed from my photos icon_sad.gif Apperently I am not allowed to upload it... I find this strange as I have seen (and saved) lots of pictorials that are not in the tutorial section but rather just some member that have done a photo collage. I'm sorry I did not get a chance to read all the comments that came in while I was sleeping. I don't know if I have the energy to do anything about this.

I'm sorry I can't help you there. I have never put mine on BC, just fondant, so I wouldn't know how long they will look ok. Maybe someone else knows?

To anyone who wonders why the pictoral was removed. This is the explanation I was sent as a private message:

The Sketches, Patterns and Template gallery is not for tutorials. There is a section of Cake Central for tutorials. You will have to contact Jackie about adding yours to it. Jackie is also adding a feature soon that will allow you to post tutorials and directions.
Thanks,

I wonder why CC wouldn't just put it in the proper category? I agree that we've seen stuff posted in the regular forums that was very instructional and informative. I might not have found them any other way! icon_confused.gif Am looking forward to seeing your RIT tutorial. Thanks for the time you put into it. Your avatar is lovely, btw. icon_razz.gif

Thanks everyone!
I didn't think of this before but I just got the brilliant idea of posting the pics in this thread. It didn't work though since they are a little bigger than 800x800 and that is not allowed either icon_lol.gif I feel like it was just not ment to be...

cylstrial, in the article section I don't think you can just upload anything. It has to be submitted and approved by someone, and I would probably have to change the pics to one of each. I put them together to make less pics for uploading in the gallery. I don't think I have the energy to do that.

If I have time later I might try to make the pics smaller and upload them in this thread so that anyone who wants them can download them. I assume that is allowed... icon_rolleyes.gif But now I actually have to go make some, 2 hello kitty and one spiderman for this weekend's cakes... no rest... no sleep icon_biggrin.gif don't you just love caking!

Cakehelp, your cakes are beautiful!!

This website is for resizing pictures, it's really easy! (and free) http://www.shrinkpictures.com/

I really look forward to see your tutorial.

ngfcake, thanks for the tip (and compliment), but I use Photoshop for my pic editing. I was just afraid that shrinking the pics would make the text in them hard to read, so I did a little cut and paste to make them smaller. There are now fewer images/instructions in each pic. I will try to upload them now. I hope they will show in the correct order...

I am so glad that I saw this! I was going to do a FBCT, and lay it flat on my Noah's Ark cake this weekend, since I have another cake to do also, but I did want to do something a little more special! This is it! Now I can decorate more of the cake like water, and have Noah's ark standing up on the cake!!! Thanks for the awesome tutorial!
