My very first cake disaster. I'm mortified! I made the base out of a pre-cut wooden barstool seat from Lowes that I got for about $6. The feet are screw in feet that were $3 each. I made a few of these in different colors and I love to use them for bases for larger, more whimsical cakes. They are incredibly sturdy, you just have to make sure that you screw the feet in level, but they are very heavy.
