I am curious as to how many of you lovely ladies have a KA and what model? How is the performance? Are you pleased with your selection?
Has it made things easier for you? I cant wait to hear your comments!! Thanks in advance...I am researching info so that I can make an educated decision when I go to purchase one. Your help is appreciated!! icon_smile.gif

hmmm i have 3 kitchenaids and i love them all! they are all different. i have one thats been handed down to me its a K5-A its probably about 20years old and i think its the toughest of all of them! i also have a classic and a artistan the classic is great for normal people its cheaper and great for basic use. my artistan is great its a lil stronger andi prefer the tilting head more then the bowl that lifts i find its a little easier when i make fondant to get the ingredents in and out. good luck

I've got an Artisan and I love it. It's big enough for everything that I need to do.

I've had a KA Classic for about 10 years, works great but it was a bit small for bc batches and large cake recipes which is what I usually make. I just bought the KA Professional HD at Sam's and I love it, the larger size is what I needed and the stronger motor allows making Michelle's fondant recipe in it. It was a bargain at $249 after $20 gift card with purchase! I'm just now getting used to the lift bowl instead of tilt arm, but overall it's great.

Are you a hobby baker or professional? That probably makes some difference in your decision. I have the Classic Plus, and it's wonderful for home and hobby use!

I have the KA Professional 6 QT. I LOVE it!! I do sometimes wish that it had a tilting head to make it easier to scrape the bowl while mixing. I'd like to get another smaller KA - maybe an Artisan - so I can mix more than one thing at a time, and for smaller jobs. Mine was a gift from my husband, he got it at Kohl's- they always have them on sale!

I have two KA's. One is about 30 years old, when I got married. It has the tilted head. I replaced that one (that will go to one of my kids since it's still running strong), and now have the bowl lift one. Use that one all the time since it's bigger. I love them and would buy another one if something happened to mine. Quality product. I also have the KA hand mixer and it's amazing as well.

I have a KA Artisan with a tilt hed. I love it. When I got it Kitchen Aid was offering a small mixing bowl as a bonus. (Sometimes they offer bonuses ... I don't know if they still do ... look for a good bonus if you have time; once all you got was measuring cups.) If you have a Kohl's nearby, wait for them to have the "get $10 for every $50 you spend" deal and buy it there. That would be a great bonus.

I have the KitchenAid Professional 600 series w/ the 6 qt. bowl with the bowl lift. I don't worry if I have to step away for a sec. I absolutely love it. I bought a Mixmaster when I first started and it does not compare.

I have 7 of them. My oldest, a 4.5 qt., is 16 years old and is still going strong. I also have 3 Artisans, a 5 qt lift-bowl, and 2 Pro 600's, one of which got dropped out of the back of my Suburban and needs surgery to fix its displaced gears. LOL.

I'm a newbie to baking. And I just bought my KA 4.5 qt. last night, used it today for the first time!! I LOVED IT! It was so easy to use and fast too. I was thrilled to see how well it incorporated all of the ingredients. Just lovely. I'm so glad I bought it. icon_biggrin.gif

I have the classic and I love it. I will be investing in one of the 6 qt models so that I can make larger batches of different recipes.

I have a 6 qt and really love it.

I read recently about a comparison between the KA and Cuisinart and the Cuisinart came out on top. Have you checked them out? I understand they cost more the KA, don't really remember where I read this - sorry.
