icon_biggrin.gif YAY!!!! I get to do CCCC #9. 9 is my favorite # too, DH and DS were born on the 9th and DS and I are born in September! Yes, I'm a dork icon_lol.gif ! Well lets get on to the CC's!!!!!

The recipe for the cuppies is from Cupcakes! from the Cak Mix Doctor

For the frosting you can also use buttercream or bettercream with the oreos mixed in.

Cookies and Cream Cupcakes (Oreo Cupcakes =)

35 (or more) Oreo cookies
1 package plain white cake mix
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs
1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Put the liners in your pan. Split 12 oreos in half. Make sure each has some of the icing on it. Put the cookie half, icing side up, in the liner. Crush the rest of the oreos. I use a food processor, but you can put them in a ziplock and crush them with a rolling pin. Mix the cake mix, sour cream, oil, eggs, and vanilla together in your mixing bowl. Mix on low speed for 30 seconds and stop. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Mix on med speed for 1 1/2 minutes, scraping down the sides again if needed. Measure out 1 1/2 cups of the crushed Oreos and fold these into the batter until well combined . Save the rest of the crushed oreos for the frosting. Fill the liners 3/4 full. Bake for 18 - 20 minutes. Cool for 5 min in the pan, on a wire rack. Take the cupcakes out and let cool completely (on the rack)

Cookies and Cream Frosting

2 cups heavy whipping cream
3 1/2 tbsp powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 - 3/4 c crushed oreos (or more if you like =)
24 Oreo cookie halves(cut, not pulled apart), for the top of the CC
(sometimes I use the mini oreos)

Place your bowl, and whisk attachment in the freezer for a little bit(5-10 minutes) When your bowl is really cold, whip the cream, powdered sugar and vanilla together. Whip until you have stiff peaks. Gently fold in the crushed oreos (add as many oreos as you want, my family likes a little more than this calls for). Pipe frosting onto cupcakes (or plop it on =) Place oreo half on the CC to make it look pretty!

Yes I've made them. I've actually made a couple different versions of them. I've used the chocolate stuffed oreos, the mint oreos and the banana oreos. They were all yummy!!!! How long does each CCCC thread go for? I don't remember (=

We usually have it going for 2 weeks but if there's a recipe that doesn't turn out then sometimes we give it up a little sooner. I'll try to find the other links for you. We are supposed to post the previous links for everyone but they may be hard to find.

cupcakeshoppe ..Well shame on me thumbsdown.gif I must of had my mind somewhere else to have made a CRAZY comment like that icon_cry.gificon_redface.gif
Why waste perfectly good Oreos stored in the freezer for the next time I want to dip them when I can get a tall glass of milk plop my butt in front of the tv and lay all those leftover ( several bags of all the flavors ) of oreos on my lap and have an out right pig out! icon_lol.gif Now that sounds like my kind of night yummo! thumbs_up.gif
Slap my mouth shut with duct tape if I ever talk like that again! thumbs_up.gif
Thanks for straightening me out icon_biggrin.gif thats what oreo buddies are for icon_lol.gif

The banana ones were a limited time thing... I don't think you can get them any more. I hope they come back though. My sis is a banana freak! (My good sis...) I have three packages hoarded in my pantry that I am going to decorate and send to her.

Meemaw, do you really like the Wii... I mean, is it so hard that you get discouraged easily, or is it doable?

Hey Fiddle and Mel. Yes Mel it is very doable but it will work your a&& off. icon_lol.gif Fiddle with the wii you can get different bundles. My DH got me the sports package which included tennis, baseball, bowling, and golf. My daughter got me the wii fit and it comes with all the excercising plus games on one CD. You have the personal trainer who keeps you motivated and you can go at your own pace and excercise as long or as short as you can. I started out with 30 minutes and I'm am exhausted by the time that gets done. Also you will work muscles that you have not worked in awhile. I love the yoga but I also do the strength training, aerobics and the balance games. You can run also. I read an article not long ago saying they thought this would take over the gym but I'm not sure if that will happen because alot of people like to go to the gym. I was just never one of them. icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks Meemaw I think Im going to go ahead and get the wii and then the wii fit when it comes back in the stores, I havent seen the wii fit on line anywhere thats any cheaper then the store $. I dont mind waiting for the wii fit while I play the reg wii games.
I played the tennis just a couple times at my sons( prob last yr )but I know it kicks your butt ! Was fun though, and you didnt even know you got a workout till after you were done.
So does the yoga and hula hoop an all those games come WITH the wii fit ?

I go to the gym at least 5 days a week.Have for years But this holiday season did me in. Too much sugar.
I have never been thin- but always have had an "hourglass figure".
I now have a gut for the first time in my life.

We still have reps bringing in New Years treats at work, dang it!

I need to get my willpower back. icon_cry.gif

Whoops- sorry to hijack the thread...cookies n cream sounds great.... icon_biggrin.gif

<<raises hand>>

I have made cookies and cream cupcakes. ( I wish I could post a pic, but I havent mastered that yet)

You can check my pics and it the one that looks like cookies & cream icon_wink.gif

I made them several times after the first time b/c my coworkers raved about them so much.

The cookie on the bottom of the cup is a great addition too.

Instead of milk, I added vanilla flavored liquid creamer to the frosting and it was extra spectacular. MMM-MMM-MMM
