I want to do the bra cake here on CC for a friend's 30th birthday and I have no idea where to begin? Can anyone tell me how you make the bra look so perfect? Someone said you use gumpaste, I've never used gumpaste before, is it hard to work with? Any advice or help would be MUCH appreciated! Thanks!!

i would use the ball pan to create the shape and also gumpaste is reletively easy to work with because you can make it very very thin perfect for lacy ribbiony looks i think.

I did one with the ball pan and all BC, no fondant or gumpaste. I don't have it in my photos because the nips are showing and I think that would make it "naughty"?? icon_lol.gif If you want to see it or want more info you can PM me w/your email.

Thanks for all the tips everyone! One other question; so I made the gumpaste and formed it over my mini ball pan....now how long will it take to dry completely and then once it's dry how will I pry it off the pan without breaking it?

I just made one the other week (its in my pics) and i used a rectangle 9" pan i then carved the 'breasts' from that. I placed on a 9" square board,
then simply made an incision through the middle which gave me my two 'boob' sections then carved them into half circles i thrn covered the breasts and the whole board in skin toned fondant (the board then looked like it was the body) attached a squished ball as the nipple then covered half the breast in black fondant for the bra then piped on detail in RI and attached some robbon for the straps and voila!! feel free to have a look at it if you want if you have any questions let me know
