Where To Get Hi-Ratio Shortening? Houston Tx Area
Decorating By deeb173 Updated 31 May 2008 , 1:47am by Denise
I know a lot of CCer's out there are from the Houston area. I order some hi-ratio off the internet and shipping is expensive. I was wondering if there are any places around here that sell it so I don't have to pay that big shipping fee? Thanks in advance, y'all.
If you or anyone you know has a tax id, you can get Sweetex at Restaurant Depot. about $53 for 50lbs.
Houston, TX
1431 W 20th (Take the Ella Exit off of I610)
Houston, TX 77008-1641
Lyons Distributing in Baytown has it also, however, they don't keep in stock, but it only takes a day for them to get it. Their phone no. is 281-422-2665
Cake Craft Shoppe in Sugar Land 281-491-3920
Amazin' Cake Supply in SW Houston 713-665-8899
Make A Cake in SW Houston 713-777-1871
I've bought it in a small 2 lb tub, but the last time I went to Make A Cake, all they had was a huge 50 lb block. And I bought it! LOL!
If you have a tax ID # you can get it from Dawn Foods. It's about $70 for a 50/lb box. If you are in the NW area you can also call S&J cake and supply on FM1960 & Stuebner Airline sometimes she has it in smaller quantities.
I called Make A Cake awhile ago and was told Sweetex/hi ratio was $69.99 for 20 lbs. A little steep for me!
