I got an email today and for the month of December, Scott and Juli at www.cakesafe.com are offering $50. off any of their cake safes or air brush booths. That is a nice discount, and I know for a fact they make GREAT Christmas gifts.
If you haven't seen them, check them out. Having a cake safe is one of the best investments one can make for delivering tiered cakes. I LOVE mine. I also have one of their airbrush booths, and it is top notch also. And NO, I don't work for them, I just really love high quality products and these are definately two of the best.
They look like nice gifts! But that is wayy, wayyy out of our budget for Christmas gifts ...
I've been on the fench with buying this for a long time. I have the extra $$ put away for it, but don't sell alot of cakes. HOWEVER.....when I do.... I wish I had one. PLUS....I love to have all the latest tools!!! So please, someone push me off the fence.....I want one.
I have 3 of them. I say it all the time, and I'll say it again, they are one of the absolute best investments I've made in my business. You will not be sorry if you buy one. The $50 off is a great deal too. Every single delivery I do, I still imagine trying to do it without my Cake Safe, and I just cringe. Not only are deliveries faster because you can drive normally, but they are stress-free because you know your cake will be delivered completely intact and perfect. Plus, Scott and Juli are awesome to work with. Hopefully I've pushed you off the fence???
Just watched their video with the cake on the moped.....My God!...... Help I'm falling!!!!!
Here goes justification, with the $50 off I can get the bigger size. Is it OK to put a smaller cake, lets say 12", 10" 6" layers in the bigger boxes? Hate to buy a medium size and then wish I had the large. Don't need more than one box for my business.
I have the small, medium/tall, and then a custom larger one. I use the small size the most, and it is the easiest for just me to handle. I am glad I have all 3 sizes because when I have really large cakes, the extra big one is so worth having, but the small one is definitely used the most, just because I do more 3-tier cakes. If I had to choose just 1, I would go with the small or the small/tall.
Have we shoved you off the fence yet???
AND they look sooo much more professional than carrying a cake into a venue in a brown box. I cringe when I see that on TV....boxes and saran wrap, they so need to get some cake safes!!
I certainly agree with you Loucinda regarding the delivery of cakes in boxes and bags. I don't understand why more professional bakers don't have them.
I use SPS. You do have to drill a small 2-inch hole in the middle of your SPS plates, but it's not that big of a deal. I have my hubby predrill several plates at a time. I'm not sure about cake stackers.
I have one. I think it is the small tall. I used it for a 4 tier cake that had a 15 in round for the bottom tier and it fit no problem. Was very heavy though. I love my cake safe and am hoping to get an air brush booth for my new shop. Oh plus the owners of the business are super nice and helpful. I met them and got my safe at the convention in San Diego.
tootie0809 doesn't that mess up the stability of the sps system?? I haven't used it yet but I understand that there is a nub to hold the cake circle in place???
The cake safe eliminates the need for the "nub" - that is to hold the cake in place for transportation.

This is so true I delivered a wedding cake last weekend and the dj told me that he texted his wife telling her the cake lady brought in a cake in a big plastic "box" he told her you should see it, I've never seen anything like it. And also the venue that now when brides come in give out my cards were very inpressed when I delivered my first cake to their venue in my cake safe. The servers stood there and watched until I got the cake out. They were just so amazed because they had never seen a cake delivered in something like that. So the cake safe has very good advantages not to mention I love mine!!!!!
Fell off the fence last nigh! I finally ordered one for Christmas, can't wait to get it and try. Now I just need the Moped!!!!! Did you hear that Santa?
No coupon code needed, just to to their site and it tells you to click or answer their e-mail. I just ordered, get it tomorrow!
You all are going to love your cake safes!! They look so nice and professional, and they work flawlessly!
(be sure and check out the air brush booths that Scott sells too, that is another awesome product he makes)
