Hi
I am doing a cake decorating demo at an event, my first one, what do you think would be good to demonstrate I have 45 minutes to play with...
I was thinking decorating cupcakes- icing tecniques and decorating options.. and maybe icing a cake with buttercream and piping tecniques? What do you think?

I too have been asked to do a demo. It's at a senior center with an anticipated attendance of approximately 60 people (it's in the middle of the day so most of the people will be seniors). The organizer wants me to have a cake to serve after the demo. They are giving me 1 1/2 hours to allow for questions during the demo.

I am struggling with what to demo and the number of techniques.

Any and all ideas will be greatly appreciated.
