I was given several 3" high magic line pans in 12",10",9"...I have never made anything larger than a 10"/2" cake.
Can anyone tell me how much batter produces a nice 3" high cake for the 12" pan? I have a wedding in July, and want to use these pans, but have to start figuring costs.
Thanks for any help.

Here ya go! I have this in my favorites, I personally think it should be in everyone's for quick reference (that is, unless you're awesome and have them ALL memorized! )
oops that's just for 2" high cakes. Sorry! Well, it'll give you a starting off point? lol.

thank you all for the help! It was a wealth of information! I was very blessed to receive these pans! They were from a friends who used to be a planner, so where she got the pans, I have no idea, but I was the lucky recipient. I did not take this lightly, and I tear up everytime I think about what these friends mean to me. I truly am blessed!!
Thanks again, ladies for the information!
