Long story short my neighbor who is often sent to the hospital and I get roped into caring for her dog while she is gone called me the other day. She asked if one of my kids could come over and move something heavy for her. She sends my daughter home with a huge box with this inside!!!




It's old I know that much... I am hoping it's one of the good ones. I can't wait to try it out and see if it works. So what have I got my hands on?

I am still in shock. She has repeatedly asked me how much she owes me for caring for her dog at the drop of hat while she is in the hospital repeatedly. I am very good at not giving her an answer because I just don't want to take money from her. And then she sends this over. I am like, " HOLY COW LOOK AT THIS!!!" when I opened the box. That is something to give away something of such value. I am a VERY HAPPY recipient! And she stuck $25.00 in my daughters pocket to boot. To which I feel funny about and want to give back, but I wouldn't want to hurt her pride either. Her poodle is her baby and she hasn't to worry for her care. Instead we worry about when Mrs. B. will be back if she is OK while walking her Precious.
I'll tell you one thing it's HEAVY! I mean real HEAVY!

Bless her heart! If she's in the hospital frequently, she probably can't manage something that heavy anymore! And those of us with fur kids definitely feel peace of mind when we know someone will take good care of them when we can't.

So how do I open the panel and check inside? I want to make sure it is oiled or greased properly before using it. It may have sat for some time. I also want to use the correct oil or grease for it.

My granny had one of those when I was a kid If I remember rightly she used to get granda to oil and take care of it by turning a large screw on the side of the top arm and it opened on a hinge.

I have that same one my uncle gave it to me when we moved him into assisted living I have 3 now kept that one for home the other 2 are at the shop and the old one works better then the new ones not as noisy

Thanks Guys. Mrs. B. is such a sweet lady and since we moved in her she is kind of like a gramdma next door. Even though we don't think she actually could she is forever asking us if we need someone to watch the kids while we got out. LOL We don't go out but once or twice a year for a movie when my mom is here. We think our 4 especially the littlest one at 2 would be too much of a challenge as she is in a power chair and can't get around easily.

It's pretty comical her poodle is forever getting lose and runs around and all you can see is a fluff of white at 90 miles an hour in every direction at once. You CAN NOT catch her. So I always open my door and let her in and my 3 cats scatter which is pretty funny while she runs her battery down enough and I can get my hands on her. I got her this morning and went to take her in and then ended up looking for teeth which I couldn't find for the life of me. But the kids got to school on time.

This last time she was watching a friends dog whom I didn't know till I unlocked her door and went in. Luckily we hit it off and she warmed up to jumping in my lap in no time. Though my cats hate it when I come home smelling like dog. I get the evil eye whenever I come back from a walking.



Funny Jamie, thats pretty much how it looks in my eyes. I totaly get the whole they don't make them like they used to saying and I figred this is the real deal. It looks golden!

Hey, this looks just like my old KA. Mine is a cream 4 qt. made by Hobart and I got mine in 1997. (She's named Bessie) I actually prefer it to my 2 year old Artisan 5 qt.
