My writing on a cake stinks! How can i get it even and Pretty , I have seen beautiful cakes here and the writing is awesome, Any suggestions? Thanks
Try this method...use your computer and whatever font you like. Copy it backwards so that when you press into your frosting it is normal. Just a thought!

I have also done the backward writing method using candy melts.
Cool. do you just peel the candy off and place on the cake??
I do the backward method with cand melts usually-then I can mix the different color melts to get the color that goes best with the cake.
Print message backwards, tape the message to the table. Tape wax paper over top. Pipe the message onto the wax paper. Let it harden (if you put it in the frig-do it just for 30-60 seconds-I have had the letters curl before) Turn wax paper over, position message/wax paper on cake & lightly press on. Then I use a ruler-held perpendicular to the message-to hold the letters down, while I peel the wax paper up & away from the letters/cake. I hope that makes sense!! I always do this-so much less stessful than free-hand

Yes. But I like sugarspice's method better. It never occured to me to put lettering on a cake that way - I just always assumed the letters would fall off.
