I just wondered if someone has some tips for this cake. I think it is RKT for the head and eyes and nose, so I'm thinking about 15 servings of cake just for the body. Any other ideas or does anyone disagree with the RKT conclusion?

I am thinking the stand-up bear for the body and I don't see why rkt wouldn't work for the rest... |

Check out the Elmo photo in my pics. It is all RKT on top of a real cake. |

There's a blogger who made this cake and put up all of his directions. I'll see if I can find the link that was sent to me. |

That is a pretty skinny body....I am not sure that it would hold the weight of the RCT plus all that icing to cover it. I would try a syrofoam ball...much lighter, and should give you the same look. Just a thought... |

If you look at my pics, you'll see the Elmo sitting atop a tiered cake...
The Elmo is molded using RKT and then I made his eyes and nose out of fondant and royal icing attached them and used royal icing for the "fur."
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.. |
