Ok, so my inlaws gave me the Kitchenaid accolade 400 mixer for my bday!! I"M so excited. I plugged it in and went to make icing today. It keeps turning off by itself after a few seconds of mixing and it seems like there is no speed difference between 'stir' and '10'. Is there something I am doing wrong or is this thing broken right out of the box??
If I go to exchange it at sears where they bought it will they tell me to contact kitchen aid or do you think they'll exchange it?

Any ideas would be helpful, I've wanted one of these for so long, it would really suck to have to send it off to kitchenaid and be without it for a while right off the bat...

TIA

sounds broken to me. Taking it back to Sears seems faster than dealing with Kitchenaide.
