Making designs other than the intended shape with a specific cookie cutter/ Using cookie cutters for another design that it was made for.
For example, making a butterfly in a flower cookie. Sometimes we get frustrated because we don't have a specific cutter, but we can use what we have and do awesome things. For how many designs do you use a cutter that you have? Or maybe, give some use to that seasonal cutter throughout the year.

I can't wait to try this one! I have a bunch of ideas... now I just need the time to bake and decorate! Maybe next week.... too many other projects that I'm working on this weekend.
Ooh I'm so excited, I can actually participate in this one. Been really busy and not able to hang out here nearly at all, but I have been baking and decorating like crazy. I feel kind of bad, like I'm cheating on cakes and cuppies, but I LOVE doing cookies!
Here's my entry, for my sons Star Wars Jedi Academy party I used a large bell shaped cutter to make Darth Vader helmet cookie favors. I can't wait to see what everyone else does!

Ekco sold the cookie cutter as a "diamond". But --faster than a speeding bullet! -- I saw through its Clark Kent disguise and saw that it was REALLY the symbol of the man of steel... (Or maybe a sailboat!)

Oh my gosh endymion, your ideas are AWESOME! I have been asking and trying to compile an idea file for othe uses for cokie cutters, there have been some really good ones, but I haven't seen any of the ones you posted, so cool! Come on everybody, more, more!

oh those are fantastic!! 'kay i was going to load up my bride/groom "heart" cookies but that seems obvious!! i do have a bbq chef apron that i cut out using an upsidedown onsie (i'll post once it's decorated) endymion LOVE those cookies-especially the rattle-i think i might have to get out my seasonal cutters lol
It seems that the imagination can REALLY go wild. I'm always curious about using cutters for something else. I will post some later... The ones posted here are AWESOME

Those Vader cookies are pure genuis. Mine isn't a huge leap but...

Another one that's sort of different than the intended use. The one above was a heart cutter with the point cut off. Not terribly original though. 
bellatheball - love them! I especially love the grass skirts/hula ones... they made me smile!
My favorite so far is the baby with pacifier. Keep the photos coming, please! Thanks Bonnie. They're nowhere near as creative as endymion's but hopefully they spark an idea for someone.
