Has anyone ever baked something in their Kitchenaid stand mixer bowl? I'm making a Cinderella cake this weekend and the kitchenaid bowl is perfect in size and shape for the dress but I don't want to risk my bowl in the oven without seeing if someone else has done this before and how their bowl came out afterwards.
Any comments are appreciated!!!

if not try a pyrex bowl.
IF you have one, the Pampered Chef 4qt batter bowls can be used, too.
thanks for the idea, I appreciate them! The reason I was looking at my kitchenaid bowl was the contoured base of the bowl. It is SS so I'll give it a shot! Unless I can dig out my pyrex bowls, they're here somewhere!!!
Thanks again!
You can definitely use it. I used it to make a couldron for halloween. Fill it more than you think you should because the cake does not rise very much in the bowl. You'll need to come up with some kind of heating core, and leave the cake as long as you can inside the bowl after it's done because it will lose it's shape if it's too hot.
I was thinking that rather than a makeshift heating core, I would only fill the bowl partially and then bake a 6" as well. Thanks soooo much for your reply, so glad to know that someone's actually tried it! I was so worried for the sake of my mixer...lol sad, but true!
thanks so much for all the help, the cake turned out perfectly and my KA bowl survived! I'll post photos shortly! Thanks again
So you did use it and it was ok? I may do Cinderalla for my 4 year old this year and I may try that. Did you bake the 6in and the ka bowl?
We are between Cinderella and Hannah Montanna so who knows!
