The little ball pan says 2halves takes 1 box mix. Is that right? 2 1/2 cups of mix in each half??? I need to make a banana Split cake and was wanting to make the icecream with the little ball pan..... anyone know?

that's correct, 1 mix - half in each. I weigh the pans with the ready-to-bake cake mix in them to be sure they are equally full. You can eyeball them, but I weigh all my filled cake pans with multiple layers, so they'll hopefully be the same size when finished.

I never thought of that! That is a great idea! In fact I have a 7 tier comming up before to long and that would be a great help. Thanks!!
