Hello cookie makers!

The consensus for Novembers Cookie Club theme another dual theme Fall and Thanksgiving/Things to be thankful for. So, anything related to fall or things you are thankful for is wonderful! Have fun creating!!!

Just to refresh your memory, here are the "guidelines" for the cookie club posts (from Cake_Princess' original post):

* The group decided that all pictures must be new pictures (and new cookies). Meaning if you have a previous group of cookies already in your album (or in the forum) even if it depicts the theme you cannot use it. The idea of the monthly theme is to get our creative juices/new ideas flowing.

* Please do not post monthly theme cookies to your personal album or cookie Gallery until after the monthly theme has expired. The reason for this is that as a group we all decided each picture must be new and not previously uploaded to the Galleries. Seeing that we have no way of knowing when pictures were uploaded this will help to prevent any squabbles about people using previously uploaded pictures.

* You can use any medium to decorate your cookies - fondant, royal icing, butter cream etc. The only stipulation is it has to be a medium used in cookie or cake decorating. So no play doh!! Please let us know which medium you used to decorate your Cookies and any techniques that you used.

* Please post pictures in this thread (Do not create a separate thread for your pictures). Please only post a maximum of 3 pictures per person for the monthly theme. You may however use graphics programs to create ONE collage of different pictures/angles.

* In your post please let us know why you chose the design you did if the reason is not obvious. (For Example if the theme was Music and you made ghost cookies then let us know the connection. Ghost = Phantom and Phantom of the opera relates to music).

Happy Baking, everyone! I cant wait to see the results!!

Thanks guys! The cutters for the pilgrims I think I probably got at kitchen collectibles. The Turkey i got at one of those crafty stores that sells candles, flower arrangments, and such.

And I just noticed...those are not BUTTER cookies, duh! They are gingerbread! That accounts for the different color. The pilgrims are probably about 4 inches and the turkey is over 5.

Thanks again. Julia

WOW - I'm fairly new to this site. I love the cookie club idea - what fun! Thanks for doing this.

And I love those pilgrims, they are way too cute!

Would anyone mind sharing a favorite sugar cookie recipe? I have tried several and they are usually bland and hard. Silly me, I want them to taste good, too! icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks a bunch

Here's mine for November. I did these for a grandma, she is going to put one at each place setting for Thanksgiving. I made some extras and put them on my table at the small business expo I was in over the weekend, and the home party ladies went crazy over them for their downline people. I got a bunch of orders! YAY! The cookies are NFSC, w/the heart cookie on top of the hand. The heart was covered in fondant. All of the outline details were done in Alice's cookie icing. Can I just call "Alice's cookie icing" ACI?? Seems like I am typing that out a lot lately. LOL Get busy all you out there, I want to see some cookies!! icon_razz.gif (said in a loving, friendly tone, haha)

This was my first try with NFSC and Antonia's icing- it was very fun but I was quite rushed so I'd like to try again when I can take time with the icing.

I was looking for something to fit under the theme and came up with these which also fit for National COPD Day. My nursing class loved them.

Who isn't thankful for a good set of lungs?

Thanks guys. I didn't use luster dust though. I did want to do cookies last month but never got around to it, too much going on with nursing school. You know how it is.

Where are the cookies this month? Not too many yet, I'm kind of surprised.

Happy Baking.
