I will be using the wilton pan I guess it is a small pan it comes with two half balls. Can I use any cake mix or is it the same as with any 3d pans from Wilton where you have to use a durable recipe?
Thanks in advance

HI cakedecor!! When I use it, I use use my regular doctored cake mix....milk instead of water, pudding and a extra egg. Works great for me!! thumbs_up.gif

I never use durable cakes I like them soft and moist and the ball pan is fine with this but make sure you cook 2 halves Mine stated I can cook the entire ball in one go but after 4 attempts gave up . Good luck.

I'm with Denise (HEY DENISE!!) on this one. Durable is not necessary.

Happy baking to ya! Or maybe I should say, "have a ball"
