Hello everyone,
Does anyone have a recipe and instructions to make soft edible pearls?
My daughter would like to have the pearls for her wedding cake and
since I'm new to cake decorating, I don't know where to begin.
Any ideas?
thanks bunches,
Wenie
I agree with doug, check out earlens website! She has all kinds of great information if you dig into the site! Welcome to cake central, buy the way! You're on your way to a wonderful addiction!

Diana,
i know what you mean about addiction. Even at work, I manage to pop on here throughout the day. Just hope I don't get caught. But I am so addicted to reading the forums and looking at the gallery. I am just sooooooo amazed at all the talent. (wish i had some)
welcome wenie! =)
Hi Wenie,
I have tried pearls from Fondant but after several days they dry and won't be soft anymore.
There are softcentred round sweets in different colours including white and they come in different sizes too. I am sure you can find them anywhere in the world. They are ideal for using as pearls and all you have to do is to shake them with lustre dust or paint them with lustre dust for the pearly effect.
Thank you everyone for the input. I really appreciate all the
answers and thanks for the warm welcome. I'm sure glad
I found you all.
Wenie
