Hi All,

If I made a three tiered square wedding cake (each cake double layer) 8,12,16 (bride keeping the top cake) will that alone be enough for 175 people ? or should I make maybe one sheet cake to go with it?

According to this http://www.earlenescakes.com/ckserchart.htm you will need to make another cake to make up the difference. That is if the bride is keeping the 8 inch.

I think that you will be fine with what you have planned. According to Earlene's chart, the 12" square will give you 60 servings, and the 16" square will give you 112 servings.

Not everyone at the wedding is going to eat cake, especially if there is a lot of drinking and dancing or multiple desserts to choose from.

I use http://www.cakedot.com/CakeSizeChart.html to get my serving amounts from. According to them you will probably have enough
